A video of Sunday’s violence in Uttar Pradesh’s Lakhimpur Kheri is becoming very viral on social media, which has been shared by many leaders including Congress General Secretary Priyanka Gandhi, AAP leader Sanjay Singh and BJP MP Varun Gandhi. It is seen in the video that two vehicles are coming and crushing the protesting farmers. The first vehicle to crush the farmers in the video was a Thar Jeep while the second vehicle was a Toyota Fortuner. While sharing this video, senior journalist Abhisar Sharma targeted News18 India anchor Amish Devgan.
Actually, sharing the video that is going viral on social media, Abhisar Sharma told Amish Devgan on Twitter, “Show courage Amish. Show this video on your channel. just one time.”
Responding to Abhisar Sharma, Amish Devgan wrote, “It doesn’t need courage, it needs true journalism which doesn’t fit your agenda. Playing every video.”
Hitting back at Devgan’s reply, Sharma wrote, “Well, you can’t even talk about journalism. Tell me, a year ago from today, you had screamed and said that Pakistan is behind Tabligh. Did you give that proof to the police? Did your channel have any follow up? The truth is you are the hawk of the agenda and of power. Have some Shame.”
After this tweet by Abhisar Sharma, social media users also started targeting Amish Devgan. One user wrote, “Abhisar ji this Amish Devgan is not a journalist but a broker. Who falls asleep like a dog on Adani Port but does Naagin dance when Aryan Khan consumes drugs.
Another user wrote, “BJP broker journalist Amish Devgan is the killer of democracy of the country. There should be a case on this too, such broker journalists are in the forefront to ruin the country.
In the video that has gone viral on social media, farmers can be seen colliding with the vehicle and falling to the ground while other farmers are seen trying to move away from the front of the vehicle. Another vehicle sounding siren is seen coming behind the SUV that hit the farmers. It is not clear in the video who is the person sitting in the driving seat.
The son of BJP leader and Union Minister Ajay Mishra Teni is accused of ramming a car on farmers. The farmers claim that the violence broke out after a car in the minister’s convoy rammed the protesters. Eight people, including four farmers, have died in the violence.
