Mahua Moitra hits back Lok Sabha Chair: TMC MP Mahua Moitra has pulled up the Lok Sabha speaker for being interrupted during a fiery speech in the Lok Sabha. She said the Chair has the right only to correct a member on rules and it is not the duty of the Chair to be the ‘moral science teacher’ for Lok Sabha. Mahua Moitra also alleged that her speech was truncated.
She slammed the Chair for asking her to calm down and to speak with ‘pyaar’. Mahua tweeted, “And who is Chair to interrupt me, to lecture me on whether I should speak with gussa or pyar? None of your business madam. You can only correct me on rules. You are NOT the moral science teacher for Lok Sabha”.
During this, Moitra said that the ruling party should not dominate the opposition MPs, so the opposition needs to be united.
“I was asking only to complete my last paragraph to tell the Opposition this is why we have to come together. There are 200 seats, in which BJP with all its might have not been able to get more than 50. So, if Opposition comes together, this overriding of voices of people’s representatives is over,” Moitra said.
TMC MP Mahua Moitra took a jibe at the BJP ahead of her address in the Lok Sabha on Thursday. She had said that she wants to advise the BJP to prepare a team to interrupt the speech and come after drinking shots of cow urine. Moitra did not stop here. Said, BJP MPs should remember the fabricated rules of running the house.
This is not the first time that Mahua has targeted the BJP over cow urine. Earlier on 25 May 2021, the TMC MP had made a tweet criticizing the raid of Delhi Police in Gurugram office of Twitter India.
She had tweeted, “Welcome to our Susu Potty Republic! Drink Gaumutra, smear cowdung and flush the rule of law down the toilet. Delhi Police issue notice to Twitter and land up in their offices for rightly calling out BJP’s fake document as manipulated media. Go figure”.
