Bollywood actress Kangana Ranaut’s film ‘Simran’, released in 2017, could not do anything special at the box office. The story of the film ‘Simran’ is based on the real life of Sandeep Kaur, who robbed banks after losing money in gambling. In a recent interview, director Hansal Mehta has given the reason for the failure of his film ‘Simran’ and also called working with Kangana as his “massive mistake”.
Pang girl Kangana Ranaut had teamed up with filmmaker Hansal Mehta in the film ‘Simran’. In an interview, Hansal Mehta, while sharing his experience of working with Kangana, said that one of the biggest reasons for the film’s flop was that Kangana herself had become the director of ‘Simran’.
In a conversation with Mashable India, when Hansal was asked if Kangana took over the editing of ‘Simran’? So the director said, ‘No editting, she tookover the film.’ He said that he was left with nothing to handle as she had shot only what she wanted to shoot.
Hansal said Kangana is a “talented” actress, but feels she has limited herself by making films about herself. He further said that you don’t need to make all the characters as you want to believe that you are.
