According to the Uttar Pradesh Police, the name of the mastermind of this conspiracy is Mahesh Kumar Mishra. Mahesh Mishra has been arrested by the police. He has said that he wanted to spoil the harmonious atmosphere of Ayodhya city. Apart from Mahesh, the police have arrested Pratyush Srivastava, Nitin Kumar, Deepak Gaur, Brajesh Pandey, Shatrughan Prajapati and Vimal Pandey.
On Thursday, the police brought all the accused in front of the media. SSP Shailesh Pandey said that 11 people were involved in this incident. The other four accused will also be arrested soon. The mastermind wanted his act to be captured in CCTV, so the accused chose two such mosques where CCTVs were installed. They had gone wearing a netted cap so that the police felt that this act was done by the Muslims themselves.
The accused had thrown pork, religious books and objectionable posters behind Masjid Kashmiri Mohalla, Tatshah Masjid, Ghosiana Ramnagar Masjid, Idgah Civil Line Masjid and Dargah Jail in Ayodhya.
The objectionable poster was first seen by an Imam of the mosque. When he was going to offer Namaz at 2 o’clock in the night, then he saw 8 people on the bike. Then he saw the inflammatory pamphlets.
Imam immediately informed the police officials about the incident. After investigation, the police managed to nab the accused on the basis of CCTV footage. All the accused are said to be residents of Ayodhya. A total of 7 FIRs are already registered against mastermind Mahesh Mishra. In this entire case, ACS Home Avnish Awasthi has announced a reward of Rs 1 lakh to Ayodhya Police.
