The controversy over the ‘ripped jeans’ statement of the last week had just come to an end that Uttarakhand Chief Minister Tirath Singh Rawat gave another controversial statement on Sunday saying that if people were to get more ration during Covid-19, then they should have produced more than two children.
During a program at Ramnagar in Nainital district, Chief Minister Rawat said that during the lockdown people were given five kilograms of ration per unit and who had 20 children, got one quintal ration, while the one who had two children, got 10 kilograms.
Tirath Singh Rawat’s remark
He said, “who is to blame?” Because they gave birth to 20, they got one quintal, now why are you jealous of it. You only produced two when there was time, why you didn’t produce 20? ‘
This is not the first time that Rawat has made such a controversial statement. During a program on Tuesday last, Chief Minister Rawat said that in the absence of rituals, the youth have started doing strange fashion and wear ripped jeans on their knees and consider themselves the son of the royal father.
He had said that girls are not far behind in such a fashion. In this regard, he had mentioned an incident that once he was sitting in an airplane, there was a woman sitting with him wearing a gum boot, in such a situation what sanskara will she give to the children.
There was a lot of controversy about his statement and he was criticized on social media.
In the Ramnagar program on Sunday, he said, “Those who had 10 children got 50 kilograms of ration, those who had 20 got a quintal. If there were two, then 10 kilograms they got. People built stores and found shoppers in front. ”
In this program, Chief Minister Tirath Singh Rawat called India a slave of America instead of Britain and said that Covid-19 also reduced its power.
On the other hand, he said that due to the leadership capacity of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, India, with a population of 130–135 million, is still feeling relieved compared to other countries.
