“Who taught this man history?”: Twitterati slam lyricist Manoj Muntashir for ‘communal hate’ video

A video of famous lyricist Manoj Muntashir is going viral on social media. In this, he asks Akbar, Humayun and Jahangir to be glorified dacoits, whose descendants are you? He are also accused of tampering with history. There has been a debate on social media regarding this video of him.

Manoj Muntashir shared a video from his official Twitter handle and asked whose descendant are you? Choose your legacy and hero. In this video of about one minute, he says, ‘For the last several centuries, we have left the land of our history unclaimed. We were brainwashed to such an extent that suddenly in our pre-primary text book was changed from ‘G’ for Ganesha to ‘G’ for ‘Gadha’ and it did not even strike our head.’

Muntashir goes on to say, ‘The roads leading to our house were also named after some glorified dacoit like Akbar, Humayun, Jahangir and we kept on applauding as we saw opportunistic leaders cutting ribbons. ‘
