A murder case in the Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath’s stronghold Gorakhpur in Uttar Pradesh has been in the news since yesterday. At the same time, a case of discrimination against a Dalit girl student in Amethi, the stronghold of Union Minister Smriti Irani, has also come to the fore.
According to the news, a 10-year-old girl studying in Banpurwa Government School in Amethi was made to sit in a separate line while being given mid-day meal. When the girl complained about this, she was beaten up.
In this case, a case of caste discrimination has been registered against the headmistress Kusum Soni in Sangrampur police station of the district.
It is said that after this matter came to light, the headmistress of the school, Kusum Soni, has been suspended.
Talking on this, the complainant said that his children studying in government school as well as children from other Dalit families of the village are subjected to similar discrimination by Kusum Soni.
During the mid-day meal, she allows the Dalit children studying in the school to have food by making them sit in a separate line.
Whenever students complain about this, they are beaten up unnecessarily. The police has said that appropriate action will be taken in this matter.
In this case, Trinamool Congress leader Mahua Moitra has attacked Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath.
Mahua tweeted, “Dalit school children forced to sit separately in Amethi school, last week in Mainpuri.

In this case, Dr Arvind Kumar Pathak, Basic Education Officer of Amethi district has told that he has visited the school after this complaint came to the fore.
Along with this, the parents who made serious allegations against the headmistress have also been talked to, the matter is being investigated.
