‘Where are we heading?’: Actor Prakash Raj targets BJP-led central government on National Emblem Controversy

Actor Prakash Raj took to Twitter on Thursday using the hashtag “Just asking” amid the ongoing controversy over the National Emblem installed above the new Parliament House in New Delhi to target the ruling party at the Center Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).

Actor-producer Prakash Raj, a vocal critic of the BJP, questioned on the micro-blogging site, “Where are we going…just asking.”

It is noteworthy that Prakash Raj, an actor of Tamil, Hindi and Telugu films, has been questioning the BJP-led central government on various issues on Twitter with the hashtag ‘Just asking’.

He posted ‘before’ and ‘now’ pictures of Lord Rama and Lord Hanuman on Thursday, with earlier images on the left, while images with fiery expressions of Lord Ram on the right. Also, on the left is the picture of the national emblem ‘before’ while on the right is the picture of ‘now’, which has been installed above the new Parliament building.

The national emblem was unveiled by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday.

At the same time, opposition parties have criticized the alleged change in the gesture of the national emblem. The opposition accused the central government of giving the statue of the national emblem a “violent” look and insulting the symbol, while the BJP dismissed it as another “conspiracy” to target Modi.
