In the same case, this hearing was being held against Yasin in a Delhi court, where separatist leader Malik has accepted all the charges against him. Now the matter will be heard on May 19. It is being told that on this day the court can give a verdict in this matter. In the sections against which Yasin is booked, he could face a maximum sentence of life imprisonment.
Significantly, Yasin Malik has always been active in Kashmir politics. He was always accused of instigating Kashmiri youth and instigating them to take gun in hand. Now he himself has accepted these allegations. Earlier, he had also accepted the charge of killing 4 unarmed officers of the Air Force. Now he has said that he will not challenge the charges against him.
By the way, in the case in which action is being taken against Yasin Malik, the names of Lashkar leader Hafiz Saeed and Hizbul Mujahideen chief Syed Salahuddin are also included in the same chargesheet. In this case both these accused have been declared as absconders while charges have also been framed against separatist leaders like Farooq Ahmed Dar alias Bitta Karate, Shabbir Shah, Masarat Alam, Mohammad Yusuf Shah, Aftab Ahmed Shah, Altaf Ahmed Shah.
Let us tell you that Yasin Malik may also try to give a message by pretending to confess his crimes. According to sources, Yasin by confessing his crime to Malik wants to send a message that he is not ready to bow down no matter what he has to face. Often we see that people involved in terrorist activities or extremist activities turn away from the charges leveled against them during court hearings. But Yasin Malik has not done so.
