Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s brother (elder) Prahlad Modi has questioned the Jay Shah’s qualification to be a BCCI Secretary as well as BJP’s double standards.
He said that my daughter is not being allowed to contest the local body elections because she is the niece of PM Modi, while the sons of many veteran BJP leaders are MPs and on important posts.
Actually, the party’s state president CR Patel has made an announcement regarding the local body elections to be held in Gujarat. He has declared the required criteria for the candidates, saying that relatives and family members of BJP leaders will not get tickets in this election.
Prahlad Modi objected to this announcement of Patel. He says that following the norms set by Patel, his daughter Sonal Modi will no longer contest. Sonal wanted to contest from Bodakdev in Ahmedabad.
Questioning the party’s decision, Prahlad Modi said that party rules should apply to all party workers and leaders across the country.
If Rajnath Singh’s sons can become MPs and if Kailash Vijayvargiya ji’s sons of Madhya Pradesh can become MLAs, then why can’t my daughter contest elections. He said these things in an interview to the BBC.
What is Jay Shah’s qualification?
During this, he also questioned the appointment of Jai Shah, son of Union Home Minister Amit Shah, as Secretary of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI).
He said that if the home minister’s son Jay Shah, who does not have any significant contribution in cricket, can be given the responsibility of the Board of Control for Cricket.
He raised the question that Jay Shah has any degree that he is useful to the government?
And they are constantly getting support from other parties including BJP. And if he can become the secretary of the cricket board, then the party is working in two parallel ways.
