As soon as Congress’s Bharat Jodo Yatra started, BJP’s campaign against it has also started. In this episode, BJP got itself trapped by accusing Rahul Gandhi of wearing a T-shirt worth Rs 41 thousand. Describing it as panic, the Congress hits back and said that instead of unemployment and inflation, if we have to discuss clothes, then the matter will go to PM Modi’s suit of 10 lakhs and glasses of 1.5 lakhs sun glasses.
In fact, the BJP, which is making daily allegations against the Congress’s Bharat Jodo Yatra, on the third day today alleged that the T-shirt that Rahul Gandhi is wearing during the Bharat Jodo Yatra is of Burberry company and its cost is Rs 41,257. A screenshot was also shared with a photo of Rahul Gandhi from the Twitter handle of BJP and it was said that this T-shirt is of Burberry Company and its price is Rs 41,257. With the photo, BJP wrote – Bharat Dekho!
But BJP got itself surrounded by this post. In fact, the Congress hits back and accused the BJP of panicking about the crowd in the ‘Bharat Jodo Yatra’. Tagging the BJP, the Congress tweeted, “Hey… are you scared? Seeing the crowd gathered in Bharat Jodo Yatra. Talk about the issue. Speak on unemployment and inflation. If we have to discuss the clothes, then Modi ji’s suit of 10 lakhs and glasses of 1.5 lakhs should be discussed. Do the BJP want to discuss this?”
Congress leader and its social media in-charge Supriya Shrinate also tweeted saying, “Dear BJP, It is visible how your senses have been blown off after seeing the mass revolution! How desperately rattled are you!!!”
At the same time, Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel also surrounded the BJP on this issue. He wrote in the tweet, “That is how it feels. The Centre has only a ‘T-shirt’ against the biggest Bharat Jodo Yatra from Kanyakumari to Kashmir. In the world’s largest democracy, when one party is uniting the country, the dividing party is still hanging in T-shirts and khaki shorts”.
Haryana Pradesh Mahila Congress also hit back at BJP and wrote, “Whenever BJP is afraid, they make personal attacks. Many many congratulations to the people of India for the successful start of the Bharat Jodo Yatra by our top leadership and beloved leader Shri Rahul Gandhi.”
Not only the Congress party and its leaders, but netizens also lashed back with dicussing PM Narendra Modi’s alleged lifestyle. “Bhakts and Sanghis are worried at the cost of an ordinary T shirt Rahul Gandhi wears . But they will never disclose to you Narendra Modi has imported Taiwanese mushrooms daily costing about INR 95,000 /- per kg of tax payers money,” Ravinder Kapur said on Twitter.
It is worth noting that the photo of Rahul Gandhi used by BJP for its campaign was tweeted from the Twitter handle of Congress itself. While sharing the photo, it was written on behalf of Congress that during the India Jodo Yatra, Rahul Gandhi met the team of ‘Village Cooking Channel’. Let us tell here that Village Cooking Channel is a very popular social media platform, which has about 18 million subscribers on YouTube.
It is important to know that on 7th September, Rahul Gandhi started the ‘Bharat Jodo Yatra’ by gathering in Kanyakumari, Tamil Nadu. This Bharat Jodo Yatra of Congress will run for 150 days and will travel 3,570 km through 12 states and two union territories to reach Kashmir. This journey of Congress is to unite the country against the spreading hatred, communalism, horrific unemployment, rapidly rising inflation in the country.
