Andhra Pradesh

Andhra Pradesh is a state in the south-eastern coastal region of India. The state of Andhra Pradesh has a coastline of 970 km2 (370 sq mi) and hence it has 40 beaches.


Gujarat is a state in the western region of India which shares borders with Pakistan on the west and has the longest coastline among all states in India. The long coastline provides Gujarat with numerous beaches. Some of the most popular beaches in Gujarat are Mandvi Beach,  Ghogla Beach, Chakratirth beach. It has more than 20 beaches..


Beaches in the Indian state of Kerala are spread along the 550-km Arabian Sea coastline. Kerala has quite a lot of famous beaches like Varkala, Kovalam, Cherai, Beypore and so on. Its has more than 26 beaches.


Maharashtra, one of the most prosperous and largest states of India is located on the west coast of India facing the Arabian Sea to the west. With a long coastline, Maharashtra is blessed with hundreds of beaches that are extremely beautiful and great for tourists. It has more than 38 beaches.


Karnataka's coastline called Karavali stretches 320 km (200 mi) between Mangalore in Dakshina Kannada district and Karwar in Uttara Kannada district. Bhatkal is the main centre with around eight beaches . The coastline of Karnataka is along the eastern shore of Arabian Sea. It has more than 16 beaches.

Tamil Nadu

The beautiful state of Tamil Nadu has many extraordinary and friendly beach destinations that have visitors thronging throughout the year. The alluring beaches are the best getaway to spend some precious time with your loved ones and to engage in fun activities like diving, surfing and motor boating. It has more than 21 beaches.



Goa is a state in western India with coastlines stretching along the Arabian Sea. Goa might be among India's smallest states, but it has a bounty of beaches that beat any other coastal areas of the subcontinent. It has more than 55 beaches.


Odisha (formerly Orissa), an eastern Indian state on the Bay of Bengal. With a nearly 485km long coast along the Bay of Bengal, Odisha is home to many beaches. It has more than 22 beaches.

West Bengal

West Bengal is the only state in India where you will get both the Himalayan mountains and a long coastline. While Darjeeling is one of the most visited hill stations in the country, the sea beaches are not visited by many travellers who come to explore West Bengal. It has more than 11 beaches.


Puducherry, also known as Pondicherry or Pondichéry, is a union territory of India. Pondicherry has many beautiful beaches out of which 6 are very popular among tourists, including: Auroville Beach, Promenade Beach, Paradise Beach, Serenity Beach, Mahe Beach and Karaikal Beach.

Andaman & Nicobar

The Andaman and Nicobar Islands is a union territory of India consisting of 572 islands, of which 37 are inhabited, at the junction of the Bay of Bengal and the Andaman Sea. There are more than 30 beaches here. Radhanagar Beach, Elephant Beach, Vijaynagar Beach are some famouses beaches.


Located at Off the coast of Kerala, sprawl many little coral islands that are collectively known as Lakshadweep. And in the turquoise water of the Arabian Sea rest the best beaches in Lakshadweep that attract thousands of beach lovers from India and all over the world.
