The first phase of voting for the West Bengal assembly elections has started since morning. Polling is being held for 30 assembly seats in 5 districts in the state today.
The districts of the state which are going to vote today are East Medinipur, Jhargram, West Medinipur, Purulia, Bankura. Most of the seats in these districts are occupied by the Trinamool Congress.
Meanwhile, reports of EVM disturbances have been reported from Kanthi Dakshin seat of East Medinipur.

The All India Trinamool Congress has tagged the Election Commission and the Chief Election Office of West Bengal through its official Twitter account, stating that “It has been claimed by many voters in the Kanthi South Assembly seat that they voted for TMC. But the symbol of the Bharatiya Janata Party is being shown in the VVPAT. This is very serious and unbelievable!”

TMC has demanded that action should be taken immediately on this shocking claim made by voters. ”
Apart from this, Trinamool Congress workers have expressed their displeasure by burning a fire on the road to protest the disturbances in the ongoing polling in the Kanthi South Assembly seat on Twitter.
Thry have made several serious allegations against the Bharatiya Janata Party workers. The video of this protest is going viral on social media.
It is said that earlier in several parts of Purulia district, EVM malfunction was also reported. Due to which the Election Commission has changed the EVM machines.
Let us tell you that the Bharatiya Janata Party is trying hard to hold on to the power of West Bengal.
PM Modi has also made several visits especially for campaigning in the state. It is believed that a tough fight may be seen between BJP and TMC.
