‘Voted against caste and religious forces’: Tamil star Vijay Sethupathi cast his vote

Voting is taking place today in 234 assembly constituencies in Tamil Nadu in a single phase. Appropriate police security has been put in place at 88,937 polling stations in 37,000 locations across the state. 

Movie celebrities have been voting enthusiastically since this morning. 

People are registering their votes at the polling booths and completing their democratic duty. Celebrities are no exception, and many of our Kollywood celebrities have started voting since this morning.

Vijay Sethupathi cast his vote

Actor Vijay Sethupathi and his wife cast their votes at a polling booth in Kodambakkam. He later told reporters that he is beyond cast and religion and people should cast their vote beyond caste and religion.

He further told “I said in 2019 that we should vote against caste and religion. That has always been my position. For me people are important.”

Many Kollywood stars like Ajith, Shalini, Superstar Rajinikanth, Kamal Haasan, Sruthi Haasan, Akshara Haasan, Surya, Karthi, Sivakumar, Sivakarthikeyan, Vijay are voting from Kollywood.
