Joe Biden became the 46th President of the United States. He took the oath on Wednesday. Discussions have started now about who has been given a place in his team and who is not. It is being said that people have not been given a place in his team whose strings are associated with the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) or BJP in India. About 20 Indian-Americans have been appointed in Biden’s team.
Joe Biden keeps out Democrats with RSS links
According to media reports, Sonal Shah, who was with Barack Obama during his tenure, has not got a chance in Biden’s team. Apart from this, Amit Jani, who worked with Biden during the election campaign, has also been excluded. It is being said that Jani’s strings are connected with BJP and RSS. This issue was raised by many organizations in India and America.
Relationship with RSS!
Sonal Shah’s father has an old association with the RSS-BJP. Her father has been the founder of Ekal Vidyalaya run by the RSS. Sonal also used to collect money for this institution. Amit Jani was again appointed as Director of National Asian American and Pacific Islands. It is said that his family has connections with PM Modi and other BJP leaders. 19 Indian-American organizations have written to Biden that many South Asian-Americans with ties to far-right Hindu organizations in India are associated with the Democratic Party.
Senior diplomat Uzara Zeya has been given a chance in Joe Biden’s team. Zeya played an important role in Devyani Khobragade’s case. Biden has also included Sameera Fazili, who has rallied in the US against the law of narcissism and the NRC. But Biden has not given a place in his team to any of the BJP and RSS links.
