A case of beating of a journalist by the sons of a BJP leader has been reported in Lalitpur, Uttar Pradesh. The incident happened at Jakhaloun police station in Lalitpur, where journalist Vinay Tiwari broke the news against the local BJP leader, while the sons of the BJP leader along with their colleagues attacked the journalist with a murderous attack. Journalists have been badly injured in this attack and have been referred to Jhansi in critical condition.
The accused have beaten the journalist so badly that he has broken his arms and legs. The aggrieved side says that there was a complaint from the police in view of the possibility of assault from the accused, but the police did not take timely action, which the journalist has suffered. At the same time, this news has been tweeted by Aam Aadmi Party MP Sanjay Singh and targeted the Yogi government.
Sanjay Singh wrote in his tweet that ‘This is the dual character of BJP workers, weeping day and night over the arrest of a journalist and under the rule of Adityanath, journalist Vinay Tiwari was deemed to be molested by the sons of BJP leader”. It has been Sanjay Singh’s reference to the arrest of Arnab Goswami, against whom Maharashtra BJP is taking to the streets to protest.
Sanjay Singh has been very aggressive against the Yogi government of Uttar Pradesh for some time and through social media, he often keeps the Yogi government in the dock. In another tweet, Sanjay Singh questioned the women’s safety in UP and targeted the government, saying that the Yogi government should stop making excuses like crores of rupees of water in the promotion of mission power. With this tweet, Sanjay Singh also shared many such news which mentioned incidents of molestation, murder and rape against women.
Sanjay Singh’s focus is on UP politics these days and he is busy preparing grounds for the Aam Aadmi Party in the country’s largest state. Assembly elections are due in 2022 in UP. This is the reason why Sanjay Singh is already very active in Uttar Pradesh and he seems to be surrounded by the Yogi government on some or the other day.
