UP govt orders no diesel for tractors as farmers gear up for “Tractor March” on Jan 26

The district administration has started preparations for the tractor parade of farmers on 26 January. No diesel will be available for tractor trolleys. Instructions have been issued from the government level for this, after which the District Supply Officer of Baghpat has issued orders to all petrol pumps. Orders will be issued on Monday in Meerut.

No Diesel for Tractors

The district administration is showing full vigor in the wake of the farmers movement. On the instructions of the government, the officials of the supply department held a meeting with the Petrol Pump Association on Saturday. In this, the district supply officer instructed the petrol pump owners and operators not to distribute flammable material in vehicles fitted with bottles, drums or agricultural machinery. In Baghpat on Saturday, the District Supply Officer issued orders for all petrol pumps.

Meerut district supply officer Neeraj Singh said that orders have been issued by the government in view of security. He told that special vigilance will be taken. He said that instructions have been given to take special precautions in view of the farmers’ movement on Jan 26. Diesel will not be provided in vehicles fitted with bottle drums or agricultural machinery. On the other hand, Meerut Petrol Pump Dealers Association President Rakesh Jain said that no orders have been issued in this regard.
