UK fines Facebook over £50m for information breach

The UK has fined social media giant Facebook more than £50 million for information breaches. According to the report, Facebook has been accused of not following the rules in buying GIF platform Jiffy. Due to which this heavy fine has been imposed on the company.

Let us tell you that, this is not the first time that such action has been taken on Facebook, in the past also allegations of stealing personal information of its users have been made on the social media platform. This is the first time a company in the UK has been found to have violated information.

Meanwhile, there is news that Facebook is going to change its name and its official announcement is going to be made soon by the company’s CEO Mark Zuckerberg. The new name may be announced at an event on Facebook next week.
