Uddhav Thackeray inaugurates 2 new metro rail lines: Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray inaugurated two new metro rail lines in Mumbai on Saturday evening. During this, Uddhav Thackeray said that he is ready to give the credit to those who are asking for the metro, but the metro, there is a bullet train project. They need a place in Mumbai’s BKC.
Questioning the bullet train, Uddhav Thackeray said, “After all, what will be the benefit of the Mumbai-Ahmedabad bullet train? There is land for Metro Carshed in Kanjurmarg, they are not giving this land. You only have to take credit, if you want credit, take by completing this project.” The CM further said, “They should see that the work they started, we are taking it forward. We didn’t hault it. If you want to run a bullet train, then the first bullet train should be from Mumbai to Nagpur, not from Mumbai to Ahmedabad.”
In fact, ahead of Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray’s inauguration of two new metro rail lines in Mumbai, the opposition BJP on Saturday alleged that the Shiv Sena is taking credit for the work done by the previous Devendra Fadnavis-led government in the state. The Maharashtra unit of BJP tweeted that during the Fadnavis government between 2014 and 2019, along with these two metro lines, several other lines were also approved and their construction work was also started. After the inauguration, Uddhav Thackeray was responding to BJP’s allegations.

CM Uddhav further said, “For the first time after Corona, I am seeing such a crowd together. This is the first program post Corona, but only me and Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar are using masks. As long as we are wearing, you wear. Four events took place today, out of which two programs took part online. The two online in which Gaya were programs of NCP ministers, in which I myself came were programs of Shiv Sena ministers. Now no one should say that we are fighting amongst ourselves. There is nothing like that.
I am a staunch Mumbaikar: Uddhav Thackeray
The CM said that I am a sure Mumbaikar but have seen the changing Mumbai in the last 60 years. Today I am sitting in the metro, in my childhood used to roam in the tram. I also used to go to college by railway. People used to go inside on their own while standing on the platform, the crowd is so much. It still is today.
CM Uddhav Thackeray said that there are many such projects, for which Bhoomi Pujan is done, but the project never comes. But now some people have a new disease after corona. First do not do any work, later those who do, they say that we do it or say that there has been corruption in it. There is no cure for them. They say we have worked, Mumbaikars have seen. In fact, Mumbaikars saw how you cut down the Aarey trees. Matlab is working without caring about the environment and other things.
