Trouble for Kangana; Delhi Court Asks Police To File Action Taken Report (ATR) On Plea Seeking FIR Against Kangana Ranaut

Actress Kangana Ranaut’s troubles do not seem to be diminishing. In a protest against the farmers who were protesting against the new agricultural laws, she had tweeted and called farmers terrorists. After which a complaint was filed against Kangana on behalf of the Delhi Gurdwara Committee. Now hearing the complaint filed by the Delhi Gurdwara Committee, Delhi’s Patiala House Court on Wednesday ordered the police to file an Action Taken Report (ATR).

The court asked the police to tell by 24 April about the progress in the case. This order has been given by the court to the North Avenue police station in Delhi. A petition was filed in the Delhi court seeking registration of an FIR against Kangana for allegedly promoting enmity between different groups by allegedly posting derogatory tweets.

During the hearing, the court asked the counsel of the petitioner Manjinder Sirsa that if someone has said something on social media, then why is it so important for you? How many people use Twitter in our country? On this, the counsel for the petitioner said that, ‘If Kangana Ranaut tweets something, it is also published in the mainstream media. In such a situation, such a statement made by Kangana can cause communal tension. ‘

Let us tell you that Kangana Ranaut had tweeted against the farmers’ movement and compared the farmers to the terrorists. On behalf of Kangana Ranaut, those involved in the peasant movement were compared with the terrorists, and also accused of taking money for participating in the protests. Now the matter will be heard on April 24.
