TMC MP Mahua Moitra slams Yogi govt over Kanwar Yatra in UP, reminded him of dead bodies on Ganga

This time Kanwar Yatra is being organized in Uttar Pradesh. For which preparations have started in the state. The UP government canceled the Kanwar Yatra during the first wave of the Corona pandemic.

This time due to the Uttar Pradesh Legislative Assembly elections, the Yogi government has once again taken this decision in an exercise to promote the agenda of Hindutva.

State Health Minister Jai Pratap Singh has come out with a statement regarding the Kanwar Yatra to be held in Uttar Pradesh. He has said that before July 25, the government will complete all the preparations for the Kanwar Yatra to be held in the state. This is an issue related to the faith of the people.

TMC MP Mahua Moitra has slammed the Uttar Pradesh government at the statement of the State Health Minister. Mahua tweeted “Kanwar Yatra on in UP, matter of faith, tradition…our Covid handling strong: UP Health Minister.

As strong as it was when people were burying bodies in Ganga few weeks ago?”

In fact, the Supreme Court has taken suo moto cognizance in this matter. For which notice has also been issued to the Yogi government. The matter is scheduled to come up for hearing on July 16.

It is believed that the Yogi government is not in a mood to change its decision taken on the Kanwar Yatra. The Yogi government says that all the guidelines of the Supreme Court will be followed in the Kanwar Yatra. This is not a new journey.

It is noteworthy that once again in the name of religion and faith, BJP is putting people’s lives in danger. Earlier, thousands of people had lost their lives due to covid after attending the Maha Kumbh Mela organized by central govt in Uttarakhand
