TMC mocks Yogi Adityanath for using image of Kolkata flyover in UP development ad

The advertisement released by the Uttar Pradesh government focused on the development works done by the Yogi Adityanath’s government over the last five years in the state.

However, a segment of the collage below the advertisement appeared to be shots of Kolkata with a photo of the flyover in the ad having the trademark Kolkata’s blue-white paint and yellow taxis flying. Many social media users have identified the flyover as the ‘Maa Flyover’ in central Kolkata built by the TMC government. Two buildings have also been identified by the social media users as those belonging to a fIve star hotel chain by the same flyover.

The TMC govt which beat the BJP overwhelmingly in the recently concluded assembly elections seem to be amused by the incident. Many party leaders, workers and supporters tweeted mocking the BJP and UP CM.

His post read, “Transforming UP for Yogi Adityanath means stealing images from infrastructure seen in Bengal under Mamata Banerjee’s leadership and using them as your own. Looks like the ‘double-engine’ model has miserably failed in the BJP’s strongest state and now stand exposed for all.”

Senior leader Mukul Roy who returned to the TMC from BJP after ruling party’s spectacular victory. Even targeted prime minister Narendra Modi. Assembly elections are due in Uttar Pradesh early next year in which BJP is seeking for a second term in power.
