Aaj Tak TV, a national media, has alleged that Muslim youths are changing their names in Garba dance programs held as part of Navratri to promote love jihad. The shocking claim was made by host Sudhir Chaudhary who is a habitual offender of spreading communal hate through his prime time show. He then goes on to show some ground reports that they have collected for the research which turns out to be an interview with the leader of Bajrang Dal. This new piece of news is disturbing the netizens all over the internet.
What has enabled this new vitriolic campaign is a series of attacks by Hindutva footsoldiers on Muslim men during Navratri festivities in Indore in Madhya Pradesh, Ahmedabad in Gujarat and Akola in Maharashtra.
Enraged by this news segment the ace actress and Bigg Boss 7 winner, Gauahar Khan took class of Sudhir Chaudhary. She tweeted, “Let the govt declare that Muslims should stay away from garba programs as it’s a religious event, n im sure all Muslims will respect it. But make it into such a filthy agenda is horrible . This man is not a news anchor, he is only a hate spreader. Shame on him n these agendas (sic).”
It was not only Chaudhary, Gauahar has taken class of all such news anchors in the past too. She never shies away from speaking up for the people of her religion whenever they fall prey to such negative news reporting.
To clarify himself, Sudhir Chaudhary then says that he is not trying to spread hate but rather bring awareness to people.
Notably, all these Muslim men have been beaten up by Hindutva vigilantes nearly all of them identified as Bajrang Dal or VHP cadres.
