Former Indian cricket team all-rounder Irfan Pathan has lambasted Hindutva fanatics for trolling Mohammed Shami, the only Muslim player in the Indian team after India’s crushing defeat to Pakistan in the ongoing T20 World Cup. Let us tell you that after the defeat of Team India, abusive language was also used on social media against fast bowler Mohammed Shami.

Let us inform that, shortly after India suffered a humiliating defeat at the hands of Pakistan, Hindutva fanatics started accusing Mohammed Shami of taking money from Pakistan to lose the match. Trollers made several lewd comments on Shami’s Instagram page questioning his loyalty to India because of his Muslim identity.
After Shami’s trolling, Irfan Pathan wrote on Twitter on Monday, “Even I was part of #IndvsPak battles on the field where we have lost but never been told to go to Pakistan! I’m talking about of few years back. THIS CRAP NEEDS TO STOP. #Shami“
Shami was the only Muslim player in the team that played against Pakistan. Mohammed Shami, who was bowling the 18th over of the match, conceded 17 runs in five balls, which did not go down well with the Hindutva fanatics. Seeing the comments of the trollers, many cricket fans urged Indian captain Virat Kohli and his team members to publicly express their solidarity in support of Shami.
Significantly, Pakistan broke the jinx by defeating Team India in their first match of the T20 World Cup in UAE on Sunday. Pakistan beat India by 10 wickets with 13 balls to spare. Chasing 152 runs to win from India, Pakistan openers Mohammad Rizwan and captain Babar Azam batted very well and made the Indian bowlers crave for a wicket. No Indian bowler could take a single wicket of Pakistan.
