Tata Motors has finally taken the wraps off the all new micro SUV TATA Punch for the Indian market and the company has also announced the launch date of the new car. Tata is going to launch a new mini SUV in the country on 20 October 2021, which will compete with Maruti Suzuki S-Presso and Renault Kwid. The price of the new punch will be similar to that of the company’s premium hatchback Altroz and interested customers can book the punch online or by visiting the dealership for a token amount of Rs 21,000.

Tata Punch

This is Tata’s first SUV to be built on the Alpha-Arc platform and is based on the brand’s Impact 2.0 design language. The prices of the car will likely be revealed during the festive season and will be below the Tata Nexon instead of punch in the Tata SUV line-up. The new punch looks a little different than the HBX concept that was unveiled at the Auto Expo 2020 and in fact it looks like the Baby Safari, its attractive front and Tata’s signature split lighting design is a testament to this.

Talking about the look, Tata Motors has given a three-arrow pattern black grille with a new punch, around which LED daytime running lamps have been installed, while the projector headlamps have been installed on the bumper in its lower part. You will see strong cladding all around the car which gives it an SUV-like look and Tata says that the new punch will be different from the oversized hatchback, which has been given many SUV features. The dual-coloured alloy wheels and roofrails make it look even better, while the two-colour body color makes it even more attractive. The rear of the car is also good looking and the punch with the sculpted tailgate enhances the overall look. The cladding is also visible on the rear bumper and square LED taillights have been found here.
