T20 World Cup Final: Australia cricket team, captained by Aaron Finch, defeated New Zealand by 8 wickets in the final match on Sunday to win the T20 World 2021 trophy. Australia has won this title for the first time.

Australian players celebrated with great enthusiasm after this historic victory (T20 World Cup Final). But Matthew Wade, Mark Stoinis and captain Aaron Finch were seen celebrating in a different way. The ICC shared a video on Monday (November 15) morning.

It can be clearly seen in the video that during the celebration, the Australian player took off their shoes and then poured beer in it. After this they are seen drinking this beer. Many players of the Australian team including Matthew Wade and Marcus Stoinis are seen in the video. After this, Captain Finch joined the celebration with both of them.

This is an old practice
Even if everyone is surprised to see this unique way of celebration. But this was the discharge of an old practice. Actually, drinking beer in shoes is an old tradition of Australians. This custom is known as Shui.

Drinking in shoes has historically been regarded as bringing good fortune or as a form of torture or partying. Drinking Champagne from women’s slippers is considered a cause of decline in the early 20th century. This practice is still popular in Australia.

This is not the first time a player has followed this tradition. Earlier in the year 2016, motorcycle racer Jack Miller celebrated his victory in a similar way. Later Formula Grand Prix stars and other players from Australia started celebrating their victory in a similar way.
