Swara Bhasker, known for her outspoken statements, has lodged an FIR against YouTuber Elvish Yadav at Vasant Kunj police station in Delhi. In this complaint, Swara has accused of damaging her reputation. Swara alleges that Elvis had trended objectionable hashtags against her for a scene in one of her films, Veere Di Wedding. A criminal case has been registered in the FIR under Section-354D (stalking), Section-509 (Sexual Harassment by electronic means) of IPC and Section 67 (Punishment for publishing obscene material in electronic form) of IT Act. For this, Swara also reached to record her statement on Monday.
The whole matter started from here
The matter started on October 1st when Elvish replied to Swara Bhasker by posting a tweet in which she said- “Too much @#$& makes you blind it was a myth but Swara didi is proving it right. Did I use GST word swara?”
He was responding to a tweet by Swara calling him a liar, as he had said that only Hindu temples in India have to pay tax, while the finance ministry clarified that there is no GST on temple trusts. However, Yadav replied saying that he had not used ‘GST’ and referred to a scene from the film Veere Di Wedding starring Kareena Kapoor Khan, Sonam Kapoor Ahuja and Swara Bhasker.
