‘Supreme Court’ granted interim bail to Mohammed Zubair in all cases filed against him

The Supreme Court has given great relief to the fact checker Mohammed Zubair. The court has granted interim bail in all the cases registered against Zubair. Not only this, the court has also raised questions on the order of arrest.

In fact, Mohammed Zubair has demanded the dismissal of all the FIRs filed by the UP Police against him. Along with this, till the decision on this petition is not taken, interim bail has also been demanded. The Supreme Court, while granting bail to Zubair, said, the power of arrest should be exercised with restraint. The court said, “Zubair cannot be kept in custody indefinitely.”

The Supreme Court clubbed together all the cases registered against Zubair. Now only one investigating agency will investigate in this case. The court transferred 6 FIRs registered in Uttar Pradesh to the Special Cell of Delhi Police. The SIT of UP constituted for investigation in this case has also been dissolved. However, the Supreme Court refused to quash the case.

Earlier, the Uttar Pradesh government said during the hearing in the court that Zubair used to get money in return for inflammatory tweets. The more inflammatory the post or tweet was, the more money was received. In fact, Mohammed Zubair has demanded the dismissal of all the FIRs filed by the UP Police against him. Along with this, till the decision on this petition is not taken, interim bail has also been demanded.

Earlier during the hearing, Vrinda Grover on behalf of Zubair said, a new FIR has been registered against Zubair and tweet is the only subject in all cases except one Hathras case. She said, one tweet remains the subject of investigation in all cases. Whereas earlier there was an FIR in Delhi regarding the tweet of 2018. In this, Zubair has also got bail. But the Delhi Police confiscated the laptop by expanding the scope of the investigation.

It was said on behalf of Zubair that the language of his tweet does not cross the threshold of provocation. In the FIR registered against him by the police, it is said that he has instigated Muslims globally! While he tagged the police to act as a citizen.
