Zee News apologizes: Rahul Gandhi is on a tour of his parliamentary constituency Wayanad. In the course of talking to the media in Wayanad, he had given a statement about the vandalism in the Congress office, which was linked to the Udaipur murder by Hindi channel Zee News. Taking this mistake of Zee News seriously, Congress has warned of legal action against Hindi channel ‘Zee News’.
Since the matter pertains to Rahul Gandhi, Zee News has apologized for running Rahul Gandhi’s statement in the wrong context when realizing the truth.
Zee News apologizes
Since sidelining Sudhir Chaudhary, Rohit Ranjan anchors the DNA show. He has said on Twitter, “Yesterday, in our show DNA, Rahul Gandhi’s statement was taken in the wrong context by linking it to the Udaipur incident, it was a human error for which our team is apologetic, we apologize for it”.
Actually, Rahul Gandhi is on a tour of Wayanad in Kerala, his parliamentary constituency. In Wayanad, some youths had vandalized Rahul’s office in the past. Then the news came that they were CPM workers. When questioned by the media about this incident, Rahul Gandhi called the vandals children, but Zee News twisted it as a statement about the killers of Kanhaiya Lal in Udaipur. Also called his statement a childish statement.

The grand old party’s national spokesperson Supriya Shrinate took to microblogging site Twitter on Saturday and wrote, “Zee News has twisted Rahul Gandhi’s comment on Wayanad incident and has falsely associated it to the Udaipur murder. We will take legal action on the matter”.
The matter gained momentum because this statement of Rahul Gandhi was shown by Zee News in its yesterday’s DNA show. Now the Congress is tough on this issue and because of this, problems may arise for the Zee News management, the creator of the show and the editor. Although Zee News has apologized on this, but Congress is taking a tough stand on this issue.
Let us inform you that earlier on Friday it was reported that Sudhir Chaudhary, CEO and editor of Zee News’s Cluster-1, has resigned from the group. Sudhir Chaudhary worked twice in Zee News. In this institute, he used to do DNA shows only. Congress has made serious allegations on Zee News regarding Rahul Gandhi’s statement on the day of Sudhir leaving Zee News.
