In Karnataka’s Udupi, six female students wearing hijab were stopped from attending the class, while in Mandwa a Muslim girl student was harassed by a Hindutva mob wearing saffron shawls with slogans of Jai Shri Ram. Politics has also heated up on this issue and many veterans including Rahul Gandhi have condemned the matter. So the matter has now reached the Supreme Court.
Today in this issue, the Supreme Court of the country has asked the lawyers not to make it a national level issue, intervention will be done on this matter at the right time. The Supreme Court has refused to hold an emergency hearing on the matter for the time being.
