The hooliganism of BJP leaders continues even today, the day of the election, after the ruling BJP workers created chaos during the nomination of the block head elections in Uttar Pradesh. There is news of firing in Etawah district of Uttar Pradesh. It is being claimed that BJP leaders have slapped Etawah’s City SP Prashant Kumar, who was trying to maintain law and order. Along with this, they were pelting stones at the policemen who were stopping them from creating a nuisance.
A video has surfaced from Etawah, which can be understood by seeing to what level the bullying has been carried out by the BJP leaders there. Etawah SP Prashant Kumar himself, while apprising the top officials about the situation on the phone, says that he has also been slapped. Not only this, he can be heard clearly saying in the video that the people of BJP MLA and District President have also brought bombs.
After several rounds of firing in Badhpura block of Etawah district, City SP kept pleading with BJP MLA Sarita Bhadauria and District President Ajay Dhakre with folded hands to remove the BJP workers from here, they are beating our people. During this, Dhakre started accusing the police of lathi charge on the contrary.
On the other hand, a video of the CDO running and thrashing the cameraman of a media institute doing coverage in Unnao has also surfaced. In this, the CDO i.e. Chief Development Officer Divyanshu Patel and a person who is said to be a BJP supporter can be seen beating up a journalist. The journalist who was assaulted told that he had come to Miyaganj block to cover the election of the block chief. He alleged that the people who came in Scorpio beat him up.
Elections are being held for the posts of 476 block heads across the state today. A total of 1174 candidates are in the fray for this. While the election of about 349 has been done unopposed, most of them are BJP people. Earlier, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi took a jibe at the violence in the state and said that the name of violence in Uttar Pradesh has been changed to Masterstroke.
