The case of the Mumbai Cruise Drugs Party has now reached the Supreme Court. Shiv Sena leader Kishore Tiwari has filed a petition in the Supreme Court in support of Shahrukh Khan’s son Aryan Khan and cited the fundamental rights of the accused.
Shiv Sena leader Kishore Tiwari has demanded Chief Justice NV Ramanna to take suo motu cognizance in this matter. Further, a demand has been made to protect the fundamental rights of Aryan Khan arrested in this case. The Shiv Sena leader has further written in his petition that the role of Norcotics Control Bureau (NCB) in this drugs case should also be investigated. The petition has demanded a judicial inquiry into the matter.
Giving a petition under Article 32 of the Constitution, Kishor Tiwari, who has the rank of Minister of State, urged CJI NV Raman to intervene in the matter on “high priority” basis. He said, for the last almost two years with ‘malicious motives’, NCB has been adopting a biased approach and harassing film personalities, models and other celebrities.
Aryan Khan is currently lodged in Arthur Road Jail. His lawyers had filed a bail application in the Sessions Court of Mumbai, which has been heard. The court has not granted bail to Aryan Khan and others.
Let us inform that apart from Aryan Khan, Munmun Dhamecha, Arbaaz Merchant, Nupur Sarika, Ismeet Singh, Mohak Jaswal, Vikrant Chhokar and Gomit Chopra were arrested in this case. A case has been registered against him under the NDPS Act.
