Sensex Closing Bell: The third trading day of the week was mixed for the Indian equity market. At the close of trading, the Sensex and Nifty were able to close in the green with marginal gains.

On Wednesday, the Sensex closed at 59,085.43 points, up 54 points (0.092%). At the same time, the Nifty showed a strength of 29.90 points (0.17%) during this period. The Nifty index closed at 17,607.40 points.

Earlier, on the third trading day of the week, the market opened flat in the red mark. In the opening session of the market, the Sensex was trading down 25.31 points at 59,005.99 points. At the same time, Nifty was trading at 17,581.55 points with a gain of four points at the time of market opening. On Wednesday, the stock of LIC saw a rise in the market today. LIC shares closed at 675.90.
