BK Ganju was an engineer in MTNL
It is being said that this scene shown in the film was Bal Krishna Ganju (BK Ganju), an engineer in Kashmir. BK Ganju’s brother Shiban Krishna Ganju has told about the scene while talking to ‘Dainik Bhaskar’. Shiban said that BK Ganju was around 35 years old when the incident happened 32 years ago. He used to work in MTNL in Kashmir and was an electronics engineer. Ganju says that even today when he closes his eyes, a 32-year-old bloody scene of Kashmir comes in front of his eyes.
While discussing the murder of BK Ganju, Shiban told that his brother was getting ready to go to the office on the day of the murder. He was on the top floor of the house. Then 4 people forcibly entered the house. When they did not find my brother, the neighbors told the terrorists that he was hiding on the top floor. He was hiding in a rice drum and the terrorists fired 8 bullets in his chest. Shiban further told that BK Ganju had wife and child when the terrorists came down after killing him but the terrorists left them saying that there should be someone to cry too.
Were wife of BK Ganju really fed rice soaked with blood?
When Shiban was asked about the scene of BK Ganju’s wife being fed blood stained rice, he said that he was not aware of any such thing. Shiban said that his sister-in-law has not told anything about this. He said that if this had happened, his sister-in-law would definitely have told, but it may be that this has happened. Shiban said that people who came after seeing the film told him that the story of his brother’s murder had been shown, but the film’s director or his team never made any contact with Ganju’s family.
