Sanjay Raut exposes Navneet Rana: Rajya Sabha MP from Maharashtra’s ruling Shiv Sena Sanjay Raut has made serious allegations against Navneet Rana, MP from Amravati, of having connections with the underworld. Raut said that Navneet Rana had taken a loan of 80 lakhs from Yusuf Lakdawala, the henchman of underworld don Dawood Ibrahim.
The Shiv Sena MP posted a copy of an investigation report on social media alleging that the Rana couple had taken Rs 80 lakh as loan from Lakdawala. Raut has demanded to get the matter investigated by the Enforcement Directorate by making this paper the basis.
Raut’s tweeted, “Navneet Rana recvd a LOAN of ₹80 lacs frm Yusuf Lakdawala who died in Jail rcntly. The same Lakdawala ws arrestd by @dir_ed in a money laundrng case & hs links wth D gang. My questn is- Has ED investigatd ths mattr? Ths is a questn of nationl security!”
In another tweet, Sanjay Raut said, “Lakdawala was arrested by the Enforcement Directorate in a money laundering case of Rs 200 crore. He died in lockup itself. Part of Yusuf’s illegal earnings is still in Navneet Rana’s account. So now when will ED make Rana drink tea? Why is this D gang being saved? Why is BJP silent on this matter?” After these sharp questions of Sanjay Raut, Navneet Rana’s problems may increase even more.
Before this controversy, Mumbai Police had released a video of the Rana couple. In this video released by Mumbai Police Commissioner Sanjay Pandey, it was told that there has been no misbehavior with the Rana couple after their arrest. On this Sanjay Raut said, ‘The whole country should thank Sanjay Pandey. The conspiracy which was being done to defame the police department of the country, has been given a befitting reply today. In the video released by the Mumbai Police Commissioner, it can be clearly seen that Bunty and Babli are sitting comfortably in the police station and gossiping. Tea is kept in front of him, water is kept in front of him and I want to say why he is defaming Mumbai Police.
Raut also targeted former Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis and said, “You are writing a letter to the Union Home Minister for a woman whose fake caste certificate has come to the fore. You are writing a letter to the Home Minister who went to jail and still in jail.”
Apart from this, another FIR was also registered against them. In that FIR, the Rana couple was accused of obstructing government work because the Rana couple had allegedly misbehaved with the policemen who had gone to arrest them. When both were produced in the court, the police sought their remand but the court refused to grant them remand.
Both were sent to judicial custody for 14 days. After this, Navneet Rana has been kept in Byculla’s Women’s Jail and her husband Ravi Rana has been kept in Navi Mumbai’s Taloja Jail, 42 km from Byculla.
