Sandalwood Drugs Case: CCB arrests actor Vivek Oberoi’s brother-in-law Aditya Alva from Chennai

Aditya Alva has been arrested by the Central Crime Branch of the Bangalore Police in the Sandalwood Drugs case. The police gave this information on Tuesday. Aditya was arrested last night. Police in Karnataka have been taking action against drug traffickers and rave party organizers for the past several months.

Aditya Alva was arrested from Chennai late on Monday night. He was on the run for four months. The police had received secret information, after which he was caught. Aditya is the son of former minister Jeevaraj Alva and appears to be the brother-in-law of actor Vivek Oberoi.

Joint Police Commissioner Sandeep Patil has confirmed the arrest of Aditya Alva. He said in his statement that ‘Aditya Alva, an absconding accused in the drug case, has been arrested. He was being searched for a long time. As soon as information was received about Aditya, he was arrested from Chennai.

On September 4 last year, a case was filed against Aditya and others at the Cottonpet police station, after which he was absconding. He was accused of helping a Kannada actress get drugs. Along with him, the names of 12 other people are also included in this list. Some drug peddlers including Kannada actress Ragini Dwivedi, Sanjana Galrani have also been arrested in this case.

Police raided Vivek Oberoi’s Mumbai home

The police also raided Vivek Oberoi’s Mumbai home in October 2020 over the Sandalwood drugs case. Vivek’s wife Priyanka Alva was issued a notice in the case. According to information so far revealed in the Sandalwood Drugs case, rave parties were held at Aditya’s Hable Lake farmhouse, where the accused in the case were involved.
