Russia issues advisory against Indian media: The Russian Embassy in New Delhi has expressed displeasure over the media coverage of the Russia-Ukraine war. The Russian Embassy has issued an advisory urging the Indian media to provide accurate and unbiased information. The Russian embassy said that with regard to the crisis in Ukraine, the Indian media is requested to be precise so that the Indian public can get objective information.
The embassy clarified that Russia has not waged war against Ukraine and its people. This is a special military operation being carried out to end the eight-year war in the Donbass of Ukraine. Its aim is to end Ukraine’s militarization and privatization.
The Russian Embassy in New Delhi said in a tweet that the Russian army is showing extreme restraint. It is not attacking Ukrainian civilians and cities. The Russian military is targeting only military infrastructure. The embassy also claimed that the Russian military was not using banned weapons, unlike Ukraine.
The tweet issued by the embassy said that the Russian military does not use civilians as human shields. In addition the Russian military treats prisoners of war with maximum respect.
The Russian embassy said that Russia has repeatedly taken the initiative and indicated its readiness for dialogue and discussions. The statement also said that the nuclear sites in Ukraine are safe. This has also been confirmed by the International Atomic Energy Agency.
The embassy said that any information being given to the contrary is biased and misleading. The Russian Embassy has expressed displeasure over the reporting of the Indian media several times in the past as well.
