RSS’s Delhi office gets CISF security cover, ‘special’ commandos equipped with hi-tech weapons deployed

The Central Government has provided Z-Plus Security of the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) to the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) office located in Jhandewalan, Delhi. CISF commandos equipped with state-of-the-art weapons have been deployed in the premises of the building.

Official sources said on Monday that the Union Home Ministry has approved providing CISF security to the RSS office on the basis of information provided by Central Intelligence Agencies (IBs).

The Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) security has been provided to the main ‘Keshav Kunj’ office at Jhandewalan in central Delhi and its camp office near ‘Udaseen Ashram’ from September 1, as per the norms of Z+ security cover, sources said. Specially trained CISF personnel have been deployed here.

CISF personnel will control entry and exit in both the building complexes and guards will be deployed at other points to protect the premises.

He said RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat is already under ‘Z+’ category security of VIP security unit of CISF. Not only this, security is also provided to the Nagpur office of the organization by CISF.

As per norms, any person or institution gets central security cover after the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) reviews the threat assessment report prepared by central security agencies against potential terrorist and sabotage threats.
