The people have once again given the opportunity to the National Democratic Alliance in Bihar elections. However, this time the equation has changed a bit. Every time the Bharatiya Janata Party, which plays the role of the younger brother, emerged as the number two party in the state, while the Rashtriya Janata Dal, which became the number 1 with the highest number of seats, lacked only 12 seats to form the government.
Janata Dal United suffered a lot of damage this time and has won only 43 seats. However, the BJP has clarified that the Chief Minister of the state will remain Nitish Kumar. Meanwhile, the grand alliance, Mahagathbandhan is also trying its hope. The grand alliance of RJD-led parties have not given up hope yet. RJD is in touch with two of its former alliance who are currently part of the NDA.
A report in the English newspaper The Indian Express claimed that the RJD-Mukesh Sahni-led Vikashil Insaan Party and former CM Jeetan Ram Manjhi’s Hindustani Awama Morcha Secular are in touch. At the same time, RJD is also in talk with Hyderabad MP Asaduddin Owaisi’s party AIMIM. The report quoted sources as saying that if five seats come under AIMIM and four seats in the grand alliance, then it can be done.
You should know that both parties were part of the grand alliance, Mahagathbandhan at first, but had gone to the BJP-led NDA just before the election. According to the report, the RJD source said what is the harm in trying one? If both VIP and HAM join with us then it is certain that they will be benefited from this alliance. They will certainly be in a better place than NDA. AIMIM has already confirmed their support for the Mahagathbandhan. ‘
VIP and HAM leaders confirmed
Mukesh Sahni is ready to support if he is given the deputy CM post. According to the report of Express, the leaders both of VIP and HAM have confirmed their talks with RJD but they are yet to decide whether to leave NDA or not.
The VIP sources confirmed that they have been offered deputy CM and ministers by RJD and we discussed this with our leaders. We are happy with the NDA. Apart from this, if we move here and there, then it may go wrong message in our cadre.
The HAM leader also confirmed the RJD’s proposal. The leader said that there is no question of going back. We have not forgotten our insult yet. We will be taken care of in the NDA.
What did Owaisi’s party say?
AIMIM’s Bihar unit president Akhtarul Iman said, “We will do whatever we have to do to prevent divisive forces from coming back to power.” He said they will respect people’s mandate and will decide accordingly.
