Right wing creates controversy over Aamir Khan-Kiara Advani new Ad, calls it anti Hindu

Bollywood’s Mr Perfectionist Aamir Khan has been embroiled in a controversy over his new ad. The advertisement is of a private bank, in which actress Kiara Advani is also seen with him. In this, instead of entering the bride’s house after marriage, Aamir is seen entering the house in the in-laws’ house as Jamai.

In this ad, Aamir-Kiara is seen as a newly married couple. Aamir tells Kiara, “This is the first time that the bride did not cry in the farewell.” Unlike the usual practice in the advertisement, the groom goes to the bride’s house to take care of the bride’s ailing father. During this, the way the bride takes the first step in the house in real life, similarly in this ad, Aamir enters the house by taking the first step in the house. All the guests welcome Aamir with pomp. Due to this, right wing social media are trolling and accusing of hurting social sentiments.

Madhya Pradesh Home Minister Narottam Mishra has raised an objection to this ad. He said that such advertisements hurt sentiments. He (Aamir Khan) is not allowed to do this. I had a complaint. When I saw this ad, I felt wrong too.

In a discussion with the media in Bhopal on Wednesday, Home Minister Mishra said, “I have received a complaint. After this I have also seen this advertisement of Aamir Khan for a private bank. I request Aamir Khan to advertise only keeping in mind the Indian traditions and customs.”

“Such cases of Aamir Khan keep coming about Indian tradition, customs and gods and goddesses. By acting in a twisted manner, the sentiments of a particular religion are hurt. No one is allowed to hurt anyone’s sentiments”, he said.

Sanskriti Bachao Manch has also expressed displeasure over this ad by Aamir Khan. Manch President Chandrashekhar Tiwari said, “I want to ask Aamir Khan that you have taken the contract to change the practices of Hindu religion only. Insulting our deities, hurting Hinduism, that is your aim.”

“Mother power has been given paramount importance in Hinduism. The woman is respected. That’s why even in Griha Pravesh, the first step of the daughter-in-law enters our house and you are talking about trying to change that practice. It is opposed by the Sanskriti Bachao Manch”, the Manch said.
