RCB vs GT: Virat’s U19 partner Pradeep Sangwan returns to IPL after 4 years, wreaks havoc in first match

IPL 2022, RCB vs GT:Delhi pacer Pradeep Sangwan, who was a member of the team that won the Under-19 World Cup under the captaincy of Virat Kohli in 2008, returned for Gujarat Titans in the IPL after a gap of four years. Sangwan, who had a base price of Rs 20 lakh, was included in his team by the team of Gujarat Titans at the same price.

Gujarat Titans head coach Ashish Nehra and the team management expressed confidence in 31-year-old Sangwan’s ability. In such a situation, he got a chance to return to the IPL after a long gap of four years. Last time, Sangwan was seen playing for Mumbai Indians in the year 2018. He took the last wicket in IPL while playing for Gujarat Lions in the year 2017.

Pradeep Sangwan, who made an impact through his fast bowling in the Under-19 World Cup in 2008, was the first to be selected in the Under-19 Players Draft for Delhi’s team. On Saturday, Sangwan played his 40th match, appearing in the IPL for the 9th time. So far he has taken 37 wickets with an average of 32.27 and economy of 8.67.

Du Plessis was sent back in the very first over
Sangwan made his debut for Gujarat Titans on Saturday and dismissed RCB captain Faf du Plessis in his very first over. Du Plessis faced four balls from Sangwan and was caught behind the wicket by Wriddhiman Saha.

Virat-Patidar partnership broke
Sangwan then broke the 99-run partnership between Virat Kohli and Rajat Patidar for the second wicket by dismissing Patidar. Patidar scored 52 off 32 balls and was caught by Shubman Gill off Sangwan. Sangwan took 2 for 19 in his 4 overs and managed to make a comeback in the IPL after four years.
