The United Nations Secretariat said in a statement that actor Randeep Hooda has been removed from the post of ambassador for the Conservation of Migratory Species of Wild Animals (CMS).

It also states that when Hooda was appointed as CMS ambassador for migratory species in February 2020, the organization was unaware of the video at the time.
