Raksha Bandhan becomes Akshay Kumar’s 3rd box-office disaster in 2022, more than 1000 shows cancelled

It’s been 7 days since Akshay Kumar’s ‘Raksha Bandhan’ released. But the condition of this film is even worse than Aamir Khan’s ‘Lal Singh Chaddha’. Its earnings are decreasing with every increasing day. South’s small-budget film ‘Karthikeya 2’ is doing better business than Raksha Bandhan. Due to lack of audience, theater owners have to cancel 1000 shows of Rakshabandhan. After cancelling the shows of this film, either ‘Karthikeya 2’ or Karan Johar’s ‘Jug Jug Jio’ is being shown on the screen.

The family drama Raksha Bandhan also did not get the benefit of its August 11 release. The weekend was 5 days long for the film which released on Thursday. Despite this, Raksha Bandhan could not earn Rs 40 crore in theaters in 7 days. The way its earnings are declining, it would not be wrong to say that the film could hardly touch 50 crore figure at the domestic box office. The budget of the film is more than Rs 80 crores, it is definitely going to be Akshay Kumar’s third box office disaster of this year.

Raksha Bandhan has earned only 1.70 crores on the seventh day of its release. With this, the total figure of this film reaches 38.82 crores. This film of Aanand L Rai opened the account with Rs 8 crores. Let us tell that Akshay Kumar’s last hit film was Rohit Shetty’s ‘Sooryavanshi’. After this his Atrangi Re was released on OTT. Then ‘Bachchan Pandey’ and ‘Samrat Prithviraj’ flopped one by one. Now ‘Raksha Bandhan’ is also going to be included in this list.
