Rajya Sabha Polls: Elections are being held for 16 Rajya Sabha seats in the four states of Karnataka, Haryana, Maharashtra and Rajasthan on Friday. Politics has heated up after cross voting in Karnataka, while in Rajasthan the vote of BJP MLA has been rejected. In Karnataka, JDS MLA K Srinivasa Gowda raised the political heat by saying that he has voted for the Congress. A round of accusations and counter-allegations has started between the two parties regarding this.
On the other hand, JDS chief HD Kumaraswamy has accused senior Congress leader Siddaramaiah of trying to destabilize the MLAs of his party. Kumaraswamy was furious about Siddaramaiah’s appeal to JDS MLAs to support Congress candidate Mansoor Ali Khan.
Owaisi’s party supported Congress candidate
During the Rajya Sabha elections in Maharashtra, the AIMIM surprised everyone by announcing its support to the Congress candidate. Shortly before the start of voting for the Rajya Sabha elections, the party’s MP from Aurangabad, Imtiaz Jaleel, announced this.

Imtiaz Jaleel said that his party has decided to support the candidate of Maha Vikas Aghadi to defeat the BJP in the Rajya Sabha elections. At the same time, he also said that his party’s political and ideological differences with Shiv Sena will continue as before. Seven candidates are in the fray for the elections to be held on 6 seats in Maharashtra.
Talking about Rajasthan, there has been a strong fight between BJP and Congress here. In view of the possibility of horse-trading, both the parties had fortified their respective MLAs. At the same time, during the voting, BJP MLA Shobharani Kushwaha voted for the Congress. After this, independent candidate Subhash Chandra demanded cancellation of the vote of BJP MLA. According to reports, Shobharani had voted for Congress leader Pramod Tiwari. According to the information, Shobharani’s vote has been rejected. Shobharani is considered close to former CM Vasundhara Raje. At the same time, the path of Subhash Chandra seems to be difficult after the vote of BJP MLA is rejected. He is in independent fray with the support of BJP.
