The Jodhpur bench of the Rajasthan High Court has directed News18 journalist Aman Chopra to appear before the investigating officer on May 27, 2022. According to the report of ‘Live Law’ web portal, he is to be questioned in connection with the FIR registered against him for airing a show titled ‘Desh Nahi Jhunke Denge’ and later posting on his Twitter handle.
The court has ordered that Aman will be given a break of 45 minutes for lunch, etc., between the interrogation to be held between 10:30 am to 5:00 pm.
It is being told that communal disharmony and communal riots allegedly took place in Alwar on April 22 as a result of Aman’s show ‘Desh Nahi Jhunko Denge’.

May 11 was a relief for TV anchor Aman Chopra when the court of Justice Dinesh Mehta in Jodhpur, the main bench of the Rajasthan High Court, while hearing his petition, had stayed the arrest till further orders. The single bench of the Jaipur High Court had already stayed Chopra’s arrest in two cases.
According to media reports, three FIRs were registered against Chopra for the content of his TV show after the demolition of a temple in Rajasthan’s Alwar last month, in which the first case took place on April 23 in Dungarpur’s Bichwada, the second in Bundi the same day. And the third case was registered in Alwar on 24 April.
According to the cases registered against Chopra, he had allegedly claimed in one of his shows that a centuries-old temple in Alwar was demolished to avenge the Jahangirpuri case.
A case has been registered against Chopra under IPC sections 124-A (sedition), 295A (acting with intent to outrage religious feelings), 153A (promoting enmity between different groups) and section 67 of the IT Act. it was done
