Rajasthan Congress Crisis: Political activities within the Congress party are changing rapidly in Rajasthan. The dissatisfaction of party MLAs and ministers has come to the fore regarding the possible coronation of Sachin Pilot to the post of CM. The situation has become such that the central observers sent from the high command are not ready to meet even the disgruntled MLAs from senior leaders and former union ministers Mallikarjun Kharge and Ajay Maken. Both the leaders offered to keep their talk to the MLAs one by one, but even after that they did not agree. No decision could be taken from this.
According to ANI sources, both AICC observers Mallikarjun Kharge and Ajay Maken are reaching Delhi on Monday and will submit the report to the top leadership. Now the next step on this will be decided after discussion with the high command. At present, the disgruntled MLAs are adamant that they will not accept Sachin Pilot as the chief minister.
Earlier, amid fast-paced political developments in Rajasthan, Food Minister Pratap Singh Khachariawas on Sunday said that democracy runs on numbers and whoever has the support of MLAs will be the next Chief Minister of the state. He also said that the arrival of Congress MLAs to the Speaker’s house should not be seen as a rebellion by the party high command.

The developments in the party in Jaipur have increased the chances of intensifying the struggle for power between CM Ashok Gehlot and Sachin Pilot. The group of pro-Gehlot MLAs had earlier held a meeting at the residence of Minister Shanti Dhariwal. Talking to reporters after the meeting, Food Minister Pratap Singh Khachariyawas said that the Congress leadership should not view the decision of party MLAs to go to the Speaker’s house as a rebellion.
“This should not be seen as a rebellion against the high command. We can lay down our lives for the high command. It is about our Congress family.” On the successor of Gehlot, Khachariyawas said that Gehlot is the Chief Minister now. Khachariyawas also accused the BJP of trying to destabilize the Congress-led government.
