Mumbai Crime Branch officers questioned actress Sherlyn Chopra for nearly eight hours on Friday in a pornography case. The property cell of Mumbai Crime Branch had called the actress to record her statement. After recording the statement, Sherlyn Chopra spoke exclusively to India Today TV in which she stated that Raj Kundra had said that Shilpa Shetty likes her videos very much.
‘Raj Kundra was my guru’
Sherlyn said in her interview, ‘Raj Kundra was my mentor. He misguided me by saying that whatever I am shooting is for glamour. He even told me that Shilpa Shetty loves my videos and photos. Sherlyn further says, Raj Kundra made me believe that semi-nude and porn is not a big deal in today’s time, it’s casual everyone does it and I should do the same.’
Sherlyn Chopra cried while recording her statement
Sherlyn Chopra recorded her statement crying in front of the Mumbai Crime Branch and said, ‘I don’t know where to start. I never thought that I will get caught in such scam and one day I will have to record my statement before the crime branch. When I met Raj Kundra for the first time, I thought my whole life would change. I thought I would get a big break. I never thought that Shilpa Shetty’s husband would make me do wrong things.’
Sherlyn further said, ‘I entered into an agreement with Armsprime and started making videos. Started with glamorous videos but gradually moved to bold films. Later, I had to do semi nude and full nude videos. I was always told that there is nothing wrong with it, because everyone does it.’
‘Shilpa Shetty loves my videos’
During the interview, Sherlyn said, ‘Raj Kundra used to tell me that Shilpa Shetty loves my videos and photos. This inspired me to work on such videos. When you are inspired by people like Shilpa Shetty, you don’t understand what is right and what is wrong. When I was praised for making such videos, I got inspired to do such work.’
During interrogation, when Sherlyn Chopra was told that Shilpa Shetty had denied all the allegations, she said that she had no knowledge of pornography. Sherlyn said, ‘Shilpa is a very busy person. She might have forgotten. Sherlyn finally says, ‘I am not against Raj Kundra or Shilpa Shetty. I am against pornography rackets. If you are getting girls or women to do bold scenes, then tell them that they are making obscene videos and not glamorous videos.
Sherlyn while crying said, ‘I would never want my child to work in such an industry and shoot such videos. These people are so selfish that they only think about making money and such content. When India Today TV asked Sherlyn why she didn’t realize that making porn is a legal offence, the actress said, “Look, if you are told every day that being nude and making porn is not a big deal, then this is not the case. Somewhere it settles in your mind, you are not doing anything wrong. Also, when I used to consider this thing as my guru. When I got to hear from Raj Kundra, then there was no doubt about it.
Cases of sexual harassment registered at ‘Juhu Police Station’
When Sherlyn was asked if she had filed a complaint against Raj Kundra on serious charges like sexual harassment at ‘Juhu Police Station’, Sherlyn Chopra said, ‘I was asked to withdraw my case. He asked me why I wanted to break up a happy family. He said that if I don’t withdraw the case, he will ruin my career. I was weak at that time and also lived alone in Mumbai. I was getting threats to withdraw the case.
