R Madhavan’s ‘Rocketry: The Nambi Effect’ falls flat on Day 1, earns Rs 75 lakh only

R Madhavan’s film Rocketry: The Nambi Effect has been released in theaters on July 1. In this film, Madhavan plays the role of Nambi Narayanan, a former rocket scientist of ISRO. In the film, from the heights of Nambi’s career to the sedition charges against him and the dark times in his life, have been shown. Madhavan worked hard on his look for Rocketry but the film fell flat at box-office on day one.

Slow start on day one

The film Rocketry: The Nambi Effect got a slow start at the box office on the first day. According to reports, the film has made a first day collection of just Rs 75 lakh in India. At the same time, trade analyst Girish Johar told that R Madhavan’s film is not a commercial movie and it will be able to attract only its kind of audience. It is also believed that the box office collection of Rocketry will increase in the coming days.

Madhavan’s Rocketry clashed with Aditya Roy Kapur and Sanjana Sanghi’s Rashtra Kavach Om. Om has got a lot of mixed reviews. Contrary to expectations, Om has earned Rs 1.51 crore on the first day. Both are completely different types of films in their own right. But even then this clash is going to affect the earnings of both. According to experts, rocketry will get the benefit of word of mouth. In such a situation, despite the slow start, its business can improve further.
