Actress Kangana Ranaut, who is known for her controversial remarks, is once again in headlines as she calls Qatar Airways CEO Akbar Al Baker “Idiot of a man,” based on a parody video. Actually, a video is going viral on social media, in which CEO Akbar Al Baker is making fun of Twitter user Vasudev, who is demanding boycott of Qatar Airways.
A Twitter user named Vashudev had shared a video appealing to Indians to boycott Qatar Airways, after India received a massive diplomatic blowback for BJP leaders’ Nupur Sharma and Naveen Jindal’s derogatory remarks toward Prophet Muhammad. Another user then shared a video where he dubbed the interview of Qatar Airways’ chief. With its sarcastic jibes and humour, the dubbed video has Baker talking about the importance of Vashudev as an investor to them, and also requesting him to call off his boycott.
The spoof video states that “Vasudev is our largest shareholder with a total investment of 624.50. We don’t know how to operate now. We have stopped all flights. Our operations are not running anymore.” But the 35-year-old Padma Award winner Ranaut has accepted the parody video to be true and responded angrily to those who were enjoying it.
Kangana wrote on social media that “All so-called Indians who are cheering this bully for making fun of a poor man remember this is exactly why you all are a big bojh (burden) on this overpopulated country.” Kangana said this through her Instagram story.
Kangana didn’t stop here as she continued, “This idiot of a man has no shame bullying a poor man, mocking his insignificance and place in the world… Vasudev may be poor and insignificant for a rich man like you but he has the right to express his grief, pain and disappointment in whatever context it may be… remember there is a world beyond this world where we all are equal….”
The actress was brutally trolled by Twitterati for believing the fake video to be true. Check out their reactions here:
