Putin’s most trusted Advisor’s daughter posted “No to War” message on Instagram, later deleted

The daughter of Russian President Vladimir Putin‘s most trusted advisor’s daughter Dmitry Peskov posted an anti-war message to social media on Friday, but then appeared to delete the post shortly later.

Liza Peskova is the daughter of Dmitry Peskov, a spokesman for Russian President Vladimir Putin’s cabinet, who is also considered his right-hand man and a close confidant. Peskova posted a post on Instagram today that her father was almost certainly not happy about.

Twenty-four-year-old Peskova posted a story with the hashtag # Нетвойне on Instagram today , which means “no to war”. She deleted the story soon after it was published. She did not give a reason why she did so.

The daughter of Dmitry Peskov, who has been Vladimir Putin’s spokesman since 2012, when he became Russia’s second president, lives in Paris.

Aside from the president himself, Peskov is among the most high-ranking and visible people in the Russian president’s orbit, and robustly defended Thursday’s decision to invade Ukraine.

Russia launched a full-scale invasion of Ukraine on Thursday after weeks of alarms and warnings from U.S. and Western European leaders of an imminent threat from Putin’s forces. Thousands of Russian demonstrators took to the streets in Moscow and St. Petersburg to protest Putin’s decision, resulting in hundreds of arrests.
